Facebook apps must deliver https by October 1

Keep hackers from eavesdropping on your Facebook sessions. Go to your Facebook settings and click on account security. Find the box to enable https and make sure it is checked. It looks like the following:

If you have already done this, you might notice that it doesn’t actually work for many, many of your Facebook apps. However, this is hopefully only a temporary situation.  Facebook today announced a new roadmap to their developers that gives them until October 1st to get their SSL certificates in order.

Once those pesky Facebook app developers secure all their sites with an SSLL certificate, your https session will be enabled and you will be able to use those apps and visit those sites within a secured connection.
