Hey Developers, Update Your Google API Code

Google APIs are about to be more secure. Yesterday Google announced that they would be requiring SSL for all API request connections to Google Documents List, Google Spreadsheets and Google Sites after September 15. They also announced that the SSL enabled Google Maps API will be available to all customers — effective immediately.

Developers! It is time to change all those HTTP requests to be HTTPS. If you don’t do it by September 15th, Google says you’ll be getting 404 errors. Here’s a link to Google’s blog post.
